The check valve is an automatic valve whose main function is to prevent the backflow of the medium.
Check valves, also known as counterflow valves, check valves, back pressure valves, and check valves, automatically open and close depending on the force generated by the flow of the medium itself in the line. This valve belongs to the automatic valve class, does not require external power to work, is one of the few valves without assistance to open and close. Check valves are used in a wide variety of piping systems, especially to prevent dielectric backflow, to prevent the pump and its drive motor from reversing, and to supply auxiliary systems where the pressure may exceed the pressure of the main system.
